Two beavers settle into new home at Cornish Seal Sanctuary
Steve and Terri Irwin have arrived in Cornwall, marking another step forward for beaver conservation in Britain.
A pair of beavers named Steve and Terri Irwin have become the newest residents at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
The two arrived on Wednesday 24 September, following a period of care at Five Sisters Zoo.
Their move is part of an ongoing partnership with Beaver Trust, an Ecoflix partner, which supports the conservation and reintroduction of beavers across Britain.
Beavers are often described as ecosystem engineers, and their return to the landscape is a hopeful chapter in wider efforts to restore healthy, thriving habitats.
For the Sanctuary, welcoming Steve and Terri is an exciting addition that will help more people learn about these remarkable animals and the role they play in the natural world.
It is also a reminder of how careful, collaborative work between organizations can give animals a secure new home and bring conservation stories closer to the public.
